Origins ‘Super Spot Remover’ Blemish Treatment Gel Review

So, I am 21 and still get spots and I don’t like using drying treatments because I have combination skin and so I have dry patches as well as blemishes, but I started using the Origins ‘Super Spot Remover’ blemish treatment gel a few months ago and I am loving it.

This product works by treating your blemishes by dabbing a little dot on the blemish and the salicylic acid in the gel helps the healing process move along faster. The skin calming caffeine and red algae help visibly relieve irritation and redness.  Now this has not gotten rid of my spots overnight but I do see a really good improvement and it speeds up the healing dramatically for me when I use it a few days in a row.  The only thing I would say is that if you have picked at the blemish it will sting so I would advise against that!  But I would recommend it to people who want to get rid of blemishes fast.

This product retails for €19 in Debenhams, in my opinion it is totally worth it.  You need such a small amount of product each time that it will last a long time and will be a definite repurchase for me I love it that much.

Too Faced Melted Latex Review

So, when people tell me they don’t like glossy lips I look at them like they have two heads because glossy lips is something I love and have loved since childhood, so when someone tells me that they don’t like glossy lips I get them to try the Too Faced Melted Latex Liquid Lipstick and more often than not they love it!  The shade I am basing this review on is Peekaboo which is the lightest shade out of the Too Faced Melted Latex liquid lipsticks.

The melted latex lipsticks are a high shine liquid lipstick that is long lasting.  If you are looking for a product that is light weight and super glossy this is not it, this is a liquid lipstick and not a gloss and that something you would need to remember when purchasing this.  However, the fact that it is so thick means that its super long lasting for a glossy product and stays glossy for hours, well at least that’s my experience with this product.  The only problem I have with this is that I would love more neutrals, there aren’t enough and peekaboo is the lightest shade from what I have seen and for all the pale skinned people out there such as myself this isn’t very light.

Even though I wish there were more nude shades I love the shade Peekaboo and would highly recommend it!  The Too Faced Melted Latex Liquid Lipsticks retail for €23.00 in Debenhams, but they are often on offer for €14.00 online.  I would say that they are defiantly worth the money, and when you can get them for a mere €14.00 so often online how could you leave them behind?

Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette Review

The Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette is an item that has been much talked about and I know I am super late but here is my review on this candied peach smelling summery palette.  This palette has 18 gorgeous shades which includes peachy pinks, corals, bronzes, and pops of purples.  In my opinion this is the perfect summer palette.

Sweet Peach 1

I really like the packaging on the Sweet Peach Palette, it is sturdy tin packaging which is great because I break everything!  The palette has a mirror inside and then 18 summery shades.  This is one of my go to palettes as it has everything I would need for a natural eye look to a dark smokey eye.  I think this is one of the few beauty products that I have nothing negative to say about, I love the colours, the packaging is super cute and it smells like candied peaches, how could I possibly complain?!  Some shades may need some setting spray if you want them to be more intense but they are lovely on their own too.

Sweet Peach

The Too Faced Sweet Peach Palette retails for € 47.00 and can be bought from Debenhams.  I would say this palette is worth the money as I use every shade in it and all are beautiful.

Urban Decay Naked Heat Palette Review

If you love warm eye shadows shades like warm browns, burnt oranges and rich sienna’s the can I introduce you to Urban Decay’s Naked Heat palette.  This gorgeous palette has twelve shades and a beautiful range of warm tone colors with eight matte shades and four shimmers.

The shades in this palette range from burnt oranges to super-smooth red-brown matte to a glimmering copper to a deep, shifty bronze, this palette has everything you need to create sultry daytime looks, intensely smoky night time looks and also everything in between. These shades look flattering on any skin tone.  Sauced, is one of my favorite transition shades of all time.  The darker end of the palette is perfect for a purple smokey eye.  The only problem I have with this product is that the shimmer seems to disappear from my eyes, this may be because I don’t use an eye shadow primer.

Swatches of the shades below in order are: Ounce, Chaser, Sauced. Low Blow, Lumber, He Devil, Dirty Talk, Scorched, Cayenne, En Fuego, Ashes and Ember.

This palette retails for € 47.50 and can be bought in Debenhams. In my totally honest opinion I think that this product is worth it, the shades are gorgeous and to be totally honest I don’t use the shimmer shades that much so the fact they wear off doesn’t bother me, this product is definitely a staple in my makeup collection!

Nars Sheer Glow Foundation Review

The product being reviewed today is the Nars Sheer Glow Foundation.  If your looking for a foundation that isn’t matte but still long wearing I really like this one.  This foundation claims to be a glowing, satin-finish foundation with sheer and buildable coverage that evens out skin tone.

I would call this a satin finish but because I set my face I wouldn’t say it was very glowy.  I love the fact that it is sheer but can be built up to the coverage that you want.  This foundation didn’t cake up on me and I have combination skin verging on the side of being oily and lasted a long time. I would say that my only two problems were that there isn’t a shade that is light enough for me with my pale Irish skin, I have this problem a lot with foundations and concealers.  Also, it doesn’t come with a pump you have to buy the pump separately.  However, it does look perfect when I have a slight bit of a tan and because I love it so much I keep it for special occasions.

I would say its most definitely worth the money.  This foundation can be bought in Brown Thomas for €43.00, the foundation pump €4.00 so it isn’t going to break the bank, and as I said is an absolutely beautiful special occasion foundation.

If your someone like me who has really bad blackheads this is product is great.  L’Oreal Paris have brought out a skincare range that I am loving.  The L’Oreal Paris have come out with three pure clay masks, the mask I am going to talk about is the Detox Mask.  If you want to know if this product is worth is keep reading!

The L’Oreal Paris Detox mask has been combined with charcoal, this acts like a magnet that will draw out the impurities in your skin.  So, this mask promises to detoxify you’re the skin.  It will do this by cleansing deep down into your pores, leaving the skin looking clarified and beautified without drying it out.  In my personal opinion I do find this mask a little bit drying, but I apply a layer of moisturiser after use.  This mask does leave your face feeling super cleansed and after a few weeks of use it has helped to clear up my skin.

This product retails for €11.49 and can be bought in Boots.  I think it is worth the money because it actually worked for me and has had a massive improvement on my skin when I use it once a week.  Also, for a price like that how could you leave it behind?

My Top 5 Makeup Tips!

Hi everyone! These are some things that I like to do with my makeup and I have picked up some of these from other fabulous beauty bloggers and others I just do and things I always get asked why I do my makeup that way by friends when they see me doing my makeup.  I hope you find these useful and enjoy this post!

  1. Okay so if I am doing a bold eye I always do my eye makeup first. I do this because if I make any mistakes or there is fallout I can clean it up with a makeup wipe without ruining my foundation.  I only do the lids of my eyes for this tip and wait till I have my foundation on to do under my eyes.
  2. Now if you are like me and are a really fidgety person you will probably notice that by the end of the day you have pretty much rubbed off half your makeup and have ended up with a subtle makeup batman mask! To prevent this from happening I spray my face with setting spray before I put on any makeup and then on top of that I put my primer on.  Then I use a slight bit of translucent powder and just put that on the areas that my foundation usually comes off.  I then apply the rest of the makeup as usual.
  3. So, for eyeshadows there is a little trick to make not so pigmented eyeshadows very pigmented. Spray some setting spray on your hand and then dab your brush in that and pick up the shade you want and see the difference, also it means that you are using less shadow and your favourite shades will last longer.
  4. For my setting powder I like to set my hole face, to apply the powder I dab it on rather than to brush it across my foundation because by brushing it you will be moving your foundation and this will make it patchy.
  5. This last tip technically isn’t a makeup tip but I’ll put it in here anyway because I love doing this.  Putting a light layer of Vaseline on your lashes before going to bed makes your eyelashes grow longer and faster. I do this with my finger or if I have on I use a clean eyebrow brush, you can get these in boots and are super handy to use.  You will see results with this in only a few days and its great

Hope these tips work and are helpful for you guys and girls looking for tips!!
